Kibble Track: Privacy Policy
Developer: Twisted Head Media, LLC Effective date: October 22, 2026 Contact: support@kibbletrack.com
Kibble Track ("the app") is an Android app for keeping your pets' care records: meals, medications, vaccines, vet visits, weight, a daily log, reminders, documents and contacts. This policy explains what happens to that information.
Information the app collects
None. The app has no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no crash-reporting service. Everything you enter, including photos and files you attach, is stored only on your device.
The app uses the internet for one thing only: Share with my kennel, and only at the moment you tap Send (see below). It never goes online on its own.
When information leaves your device
Only when you choose:
- Sharing a PDF. When you share a Pet Passport, vet visit summary or care sheet, Android's share sheet sends it to the app and person you pick (for example email or text messages).
- Backup files. When you save a backup, the file goes where you choose (for example your Downloads folder or a cloud drive).
- Android backup. If Android backup is on for your phone, Android includes the app's data in your phone's backup to your own Google account, and restores it on a new phone. Google's handling of that backup is covered by Google's Privacy Policy. You can turn backup off in your phone's settings.
- Share with my kennel. If your boarding kennel or daycare uses Kibble Desk, you can send them the pets you pick: each pet's details and photo, vaccines with their certificate files, feeding, medications, vet, and the name and phone number you enter. Before anything leaves your phone it is encrypted with the kennel's own key, taken from the code you scan at the kennel, so only that kennel's Kibble Desk computer can open it. It travels through the Kibble Desk relay run by Twisted Head Media (relay.kibbletrack.com), which cannot read it, keeps it only until the kennel's computer collects it (at most 14 days), and then deletes it. The relay's web server sees your phone's IP address while it delivers, as any web server does, and uses it only to limit abuse. What the kennel does with your pet's records is up to the kennel.
- Pet files. "Share as a file" makes a .kibblepet file for each pet you pick and sends it through Android's share sheet to the app and person you choose. These files are not encrypted, so send them only to your kennel.
- Scanning. The document scanner and the kennel-code scanner are Google's on-device ML Kit scanners, provided through Google Play services. Pages and codes are processed on your device. The app switches off ML Kit's usage logging.
Purchases
The optional unlock is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app stores only whether the unlock is owned, and re-checks that with Google Play.
Crash reports
We see aggregated crash and performance reports that Google Play Console provides to developers ("Android vitals"), which do not identify you.
Children
Kibble Track is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Delete a pet in the app to delete its records and files, or uninstall the app to delete everything. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to request from us. Profiles you sent to a kennel are the kennel's records from then on; ask the kennel to delete them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
